A Look Back at Waubonsee’s 2023 Presidential Inauguration Week
Dr. Brian Knetl was inaugurated as the fifth President of Waubonsee Community College on September 21, 2023. A series of week-long events were held at all four campuses to celebrate the occasion. More than 200 employees and students worked tirelessly to make the celebrations a huge success. The festivities brought together leaders in workforce development, business owners, elected officials, students, alumni, and community members from the college's district, which covers 22 municipalities. The event showcased the remarkable work done at the college and was a celebration of unity, extending a warm welcome to the larger community.
The Presidential Inauguration highlighted the college's long-standing mission, and introduced a new theme, "Waubonsee Together: A New Dawn". We take pride in being part of "Waubonsee Together" with our Students, Employees, and Community. We are thrilled and optimistic about the future of our college and are committed to serving our students and community with dedication and excellence.

Dr. Knetl’s inauguration culminates in this formal ceremony through which he is endowed with the powers and responsibilities of the presidency. Seating in the Sugar Grove Campus Auditorium (AUD) was limited however several college watch parties and a live stream was available for viewing.
