The Adult Literacy Project at Waubonsee Community College is seeking volunteers to tutor adult students in reading, writing and speaking English.
The Adult Literacy Project will offer a tutor training on Saturday, January 23, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at Waubonsee’s Aurora Campus, 18 S. River Street. Additional online, self-paced readings are also required. All training and materials will be provided at no charge.
Participants must register for the training by January 18, 2016.
Volunteers tutor once a week for 1½ hours. Morning, afternoon and evening opportunities are available.
