Stephanie Wennmacher
Waubonsee Community College has hired staff member Stephanie Wennmacher, of Oswego, as Executive Director of Marketing and Communications.
Wennmacher has proudly served the college for more than 20 years, bringing her wealth of knowledge and experience in higher education marketing. She leads all aspects of planning, aligning, and implementing institutional, programmatic, and seasonal integrated marketing communications plans to build brand awareness and achieve college objectives.
“I am excited about continuing to expand the college’s impact by supporting student equity and success, strengthening community connections, and fostering a spirit of interdepartmental collaboration,” said Wennmacher.
Wennmacher holds a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Augustana College.
Before helping lead Waubonsee’s Marketing and Communications Department as the Senior Marketing Manager, Wennmacher served in many other roles, advancing through the college’s ranks due to her institutional experience and commitment. Her previous roles include Marketing Manager, Marketing and Communications Manager, and Publications Coordinator.
The college’s board of trustees approved Wennmacher’s appointment at their regularly scheduled meeting on June 15, 2022.
