Bike riders on the path near Aurora Downtown campus

Celebrate the end of the summer with two family-friendly events at Waubonsee Community College’s Sugar Grove Campus this month. The fun kicks off on Sunday, Sept. 22, with the second annual Bike the Burbs event. The festivities start at 1:30 p.m. with a bike campus tour, highlighting the picturesque backdrop of the Sugar Grove Campus and the Gilman Trail. The event runs from 1 to 5 p.m., welcoming all ages and levels of riders, and will take place rain or shine. Loaner bikes and helmets will be available to participants at no cost. If you prefer not to ride, you can still join the fun with free snacks, music, and family activities. For more details and to register, visit waubonsee.edu/biketheburbs.

Back by popular demand, join us on Friday, Sept. 27, for Cruise Night at Waubonsee’s Sugar Grove Campus. Students, alumni, employees, community members, and their families are invited to showcase their restored, antique, or modern cars and motorcycles from 4 to 7 p.m. Don’t miss the 2018 Challenger SRT Demon, which has been loaned to Waubonsee’s automotive technology students as a prize for their impressive second-place finish in the Mopar® Career Automotive Program (CAP) Bracket Challenge. Enjoy music from Carousel Sound, food trucks with tacos, and ice cream. Guests are welcome to bring their own picnic.
