Waubonsee Community College’s Workforce Development Division has partnered with Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital on Project SEARCH, a program to assist adults with disabilities in the development of job skills leading to an increased level of independence.

The nominating committee of the Waubonsee Community College Board of Trustees will meet Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 3:30 p.m. in the Dickson Center Community Board Room on the Sugar Grove Campus, Route 47 at Waubonsee Drive.

The President’s List at Waubonsee Community College celebrates excellence among students who achieve a 4.0 grade-point average while enrolled in at least 6 semester credit hours. The President’s List honors the following students for the fall 2017 semester at the college.

The Dean’s List at Waubonsee Community College celebrates excellence among students who achieve a minimum 3.5 grade-point average out of a possible 4.0 while enrolled in at least 6 semester credit hours. The Dean’s List honors the following students for the fall 2017 semester at the college.

For those who have ever performed live theater or would like to try it for the first time, Waubonsee Community College will hold auditions for the play, “Whose Wives Are They Anyway?”

Waubonsee Community College offers many local, national and international travel opportunities through its Community Education Department. On Feb. 9, the college will host an open house and learning event that will provide information about those opportunities. The open house will allow individuals to learn more about the travel options and the travel companies that Waubonsee partners with to provide these experiences to the community.

In time for spring and summer weddings, Waubonsee Community College is offering the opportunity for people to become a certified wedding and event planner.

Volunteers with Waubonsee Community College’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program will offer free tax help again this season in downtown Aurora.

On Wednesday, Jan. 10, Waubonsee Community College will provide help with completing the 2017-2018 or the 2018-2019 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Assistance will be provided by staff from the Financial Aid Office of Waubonsee Community College.
