Waubonsee Community College has appointed Dr. Pratima Jindal, of Aurora, to the position of full-time Physics Instructor.

Jindal brings years of experience as a high energy physics researcher to Waubonsee.

She has authored or co-authored 277 publications, primarily in the field of high energy physics, and has worked as a research associate on the Compact Muon Spectrometer (CMS) Experiment for CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research. Jindal’s work on CERN’s CMS Experiment followed research she conducted through post-doctoral research funding at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia.

She has also presented at several conferences and professional workshops.

Jindal currently teaches physics as an adjunct instructor at Waubonsee and Elgin Community College.

Jindal holds a Ph.D. in experimental high energy physics from Panjab University in Chandigarh, India. She also earned from Panjab a Master of Science in physics, a Bachelor of Science in physical sciences and a Bachelor of Education.
