Volunteers with Waubonsee Community College’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program will offer free tax help again this season in downtown Aurora.

Two Waubonsee Community College adjunct faculty members have been selected as Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Members for 2019.

Waubonsee Community College Special Board Meeting Canceled

Due to the dangerously cold weather forecasted for the area, Waubonsee Community College has canceled all classes and activities for Wednesday, January 30. Because the college will be closed, the special meeting of the Waubonsee Community College Board of Trustees has been canceled.

Waubonsee Community College offers more than 70 courses on a wide variety of topics that are 12- and 8- weeks long.

Waubonsee’s Student Success Coaches Make a Difference in Lives

Robin Nelson was 55 years old in 2016 when he decided it was time to go to college. He had had issues with various addictive substances in the past but had been clean and sober for about 10 years.

Nelson is now an honor student, a member of Phi Theta Kappa and working to help other people recover from addiction.

Waubonsee Offers Test Preparation Classes

High school juniors are required to take the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT®). To help students prepare for this, Waubonsee Community College will offer test preparation courses for both the SAT® and the American College Test (ACT).

Waubonsee Community College will host a recurring speaker series beginning in February. The events will feature Waubonsee faculty members speaking on topics pertaining to their academic interest and research.
