Are you considering attending college to finish a degree, start a new one, or upskill to improve your job prospects as an adult learner? Waubonsee Community College is hosting two information sessions tailored exclusively to adult learners.

Waubonsee Community College invites music enthusiasts and their families to join us this holiday season as we host several free musical concerts in December. 

In honor of Native American Heritage Month, Waubonsee Community College is hosting programs to educate and raise awareness about the heritage, culture, traditions, and customs of the First Nations people. Community members are invited to these free events to learn about Native American tribes; the unique challenges, past and present, that Native people have faced; and how tribal citizens have worked to overcome these challenges.

Waubonsee Community College is hosting events celebrating LGBTQ+ History Month from Oct. 1 to Oct. 31. This month-long celebration is open to students, faculty, staff, and members of the community, and aims to raise awareness of the history and civil rights movements related to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community. The programming is free and open to the public.

A full-service campus with a focus on health care was what Waubonsee Community College leaders had in mind when they committed to renovating their campus located at 2060 Ogden Avenue in Aurora. The college is inviting the public to tour the updated facilities during an event on Oct. 22 at 1 p.m. In addition to tours, the event will offer family-friendly activities.

With the start of the academic year, Waubonsee Community College is kicking off its 50th anniversary celebrations this month with a full slate of events and initiatives planned to honor the milestone. The college’s focus for the anniversary will be on honoring those who’ve helped shape the college’s “Proud Past, Bold Future.”
