Jeri Dixon, Dean for Adult Education at Waubonsee Community College, has been elected the next president of the Illinois Adult and Continuing Educators’ Association.
Dixon was elected to the post at the IACEA’s conference March 4-6 in Springfield.
Beginning July 1, Dixon will serve as the association’s President-Elect. She will begin serving a one-year term as IACEA President on July 1, 2016.
Dixon has participated as a member of the IACEA since 2001, and was elected to the organization’s board in 2010. Previously, she has served as the IACEA’s Junior Division Chair for Support Services, Senior Division Chair for Support Services and Co-Chair of the Marketing Committee.
Dixon said she believes the opportunity will offer her the chance to deepen her skills and bring new opportunities home to Waubonsee’s faculty and students.
