Matching your skills to your courses

English and math courses are part of nearly every degree program—and useful in everyday life outside college, too. To help you build your skills and be successful, Waubonsee places you into appropriate English and math courses based on your abilities. All new degree-seeking students need to go through the course placement process. Note that some other students may need to assess/place to satisfy course prerequisites.

Course placement is based on one of the following criteria:

Placement Testing at Waubonsee

If you do not have any of these or if your grades/scores do not satisfy the requirements, you can go through placement testing here at Waubonsee. At the current time, in-person testing is recommended, with walk-in option and appointments available. Remote testing can be arranged if necessary.
