Academic and Professional Center Event Room
The Academic and Professional Center is available for rent for your large events. With 10,401 square feet available, amazing audio and visual capabilities, and a staff that will help coordinate your needs, this is the perfect place for your corporate meetings, seminars, and events. BOOKSTORE

The bookstore is located on both the Sugar Grove campus, and the Aurora campus. The bookstore offers a variety of products that are open to the community for purchase; including palm pilots, clothing apparel, school supplies, etc.

CAREER SERVICES

Where do you go to find a job, work on your resume and practice interviewing skills – For Free? At the Career Services Center, career specialists can assist you in preparing for a successful job search.

COLLEGE NIGHT

Each year Waubonsee Community College hosts representatives from more than 150 four-year colleges. In 2007, College Night will take place Monday night, Oct. 1. For more information call (630) 466-7900, ext. 2969.

In addition to being able to speak with college representatives and gather valuable information, Waubonsee staff members host special presentations. Topics include: Financial Aid, Advice for Choosing a College and Making Waubonsee Community College Your First Choice.

DRIVER SAFETY PROGRAM
We offer the nationally recognized National Safety Council's Defensive Driving Course (DDC-4) to area businesses and organizations as well as individuals. Additionally, we are partners with the 16th Judicial Circuit Court to provide driver safety classes.
FACILITIES USAGE

Community members are able to use our facilities, pending availability, for a small fee. Each group must have a certificate of liability insurance. For more information call (630) 466-7900, ext. 2769.

FITNESS CENTER

Open to anyone 16 years of age or older, the center offers students and community members exercise programming based on a solid foundation of fitness testing, exercise prescription, professional supervision and encouraging support. Exercise in a relaxed and fun atmosphere on your way to improved health. For more information call (630) 466-7900, ext. 2530.

HENNING ACADEMIC COMPUTER CENTER

The computer labs are a free service for the faculty, staff and students of Waubonsee Community College. Community members may register as a “Community User” to use the computing facilities. Community members may register for this program at the Business Office in Dickson Center.

Illinois Employment and Training Center

Waubonsee Community College (WCC) is a partner and operator of the North Aurora Illinois Employment and Training Center (IETC) under the 1998 Workforce Investment Act. The goals of the partnership are to link an individual’s training with their career and to link employers with trained individuals. Waubonsee Community College IETC Coordinator and Career Services Specialist are available to provide individualized professional guidance and career information. The IETC staff also provides access to other important WCC programs, such as Business Services, Career Services, Adult Basic Education and English as a Second Language.

LITERACY PROJECT

Waubonsee's award-winning adult literacy project trains adult volunteers to teach reading and English-speaking skills to adults from 40 countries around the world. Tutors meet in many locations in the district including churches, schools, fire stations, libraries, and activity centers. Volunteer trainings are held throughout the year at convenient times. Interested volunteers, and students who need literacy tutors, may contact the program at (630) 466-7900, ext. 4106.

MAGNET PLACE PRESCHOOL

The Children’s Magnet Place Preschool is located on Waubonsee’s Sugar Grove campus. It is open to all community residents and provides opportunities for children ages three-to-six to develop social, motor, pre-writing, and pre-reading skills through age-appropriate activities.

NATURE TRAIL

Waubonsee’s Nature Trail is open to the community. Our trail includes wildflowers and other native plants. It encompasses the campus perimeters and designated wild life areas. For more information please call the college marketing and communications department at (630) 466-7900, ext. 2411.

SPEAKER'S BUREAU

As a free service to residents of the district, Waubonsee Community College faculty, staff and associates volunteer their time and talents as speakers, offering an array of topics that reflect their broad interests and expertise. TODD LIBRARY

The Todd Library, located on the Sugar Grove campus, is open to the community. The library offers a range of community services.
