Local Businesses

From helping improve the skills of your workers to free advice on small business tactics, Waubonsee provides a variety of services to local businesses.

Waubonsee takes seriously its role as an economic engine for the community. Not only is the college one of the largest employers in the area, it also improves the local workforce by training prospective and current employees. An individual may choose to enroll in one of Workforce Development's many professional development courses, or a business may choose to improve the skills of certain groups of its employees using our customized training options.

Companies can also find highly skilled employees by listing a job posting or attending an event with our Career Services Department. Or, if they need to host an event or meeting of their own, they can hold it in the college's Event Room on the Sugar Grove Campus.

If you own or are thinking of opening a small business, you'll want to take advantage of the free services of our Illinois Small Business Development Center. The center provides advice on essential management and marketing techniques, as well as financial counseling.

Maybe you and your staff aren't looking for training, but rather, are interested in working with and for the college on a specific project. Many of the college's projects, from construction to printing, go out for bid. Learn more about the bid process at the Purchasing Office page.
