Placement Testing for ABE/GED Classes
Students wishing to take Adult Basic Education (ABE) or General Education Development (GED) courses need to first take the Locator and TABE tests. These tests will assess reading and math skills. Testing will take approximately 3 1/2 hours, but can be split into two testing sessions. The tests are offered on a walk-in basis at all three locations of the Center for Learning Assessment. A photo I.D. is required to test.

 GED Credential Exam
Kane County residents can schedule and pay for the GED Credential Exam by contacting the Kane County Regional Office of Education. While Waubonsee is an official GED testing site, only students who have registered for the exam may test.  Students from other counties should contact their respective Regional Office of Education for testing locations and times.
