Massage Clinical IV (TMS245)

1.5 Semester Hours

This course is a supervised clinical experience designed to provide training and practical experience in therapeutic massage. Students work with clients who have acute or chronic musculoskeletal pain or problems with the low back, abdomen and lower extremities. Students also work with clients who have chronic problems such as cancer, fibromyalgia, lymphadema, GI problems, diabetes and headaches. Students must spend 45 hours at on- or off-campus locations experiencing real-life application of assessment and massage techniques. In addition, students spend eight hours in seminar discussing clinical situations.
