Under the direction of the Board of Trustees, Waubonsee subscribes to the principles of human resource management, which promotes opportunities for employees to cultivate self-development, enhance job knowledge and skills and advance leadership qualities in a collaborative environment that promotes respect and inclusivity and celebrates diversity. Waubonsee is committed to the hiring and retention of quality faculty and staff who are connected to the college’s culture of collaboration, professional growth and student success.
After the final filing date for each job opening, applications are pre-screened by the Office of Human Resources and then forwarded for committee review. The majority of pre-selection and interviewing is done by screening committees comprised of persons who are familiar with the department, the position and the hiring criteria.
